Andrea earned her Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2010. She then went on to study at Touro University Nevada (TUN), where she earned her Master of Science in Medical Health Sciences and her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. While at TUN, Andrea comparatively researched the cognitive decline among ambulatory and wheelchair-bound elderly patients under the direction of Upinder Singh, MD.
After completing her studies at TUN, Andrea worked as a physician assistant at several medical and rehabilitation practices in the Las Vegas area, including Total Care Family Practice and Las Vegas Recovery Center. More recently, in March 2020, she volunteered to travel to New York and help the New York Health System manage their COVID-19 response. There, she was placed in the ICU, ER, and medical-surgical floor to help COVID patients manage their illness.
Andrea is affiliated with several professional organizations, including the Nevada Academy of Physician Assistants (NAPA), the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the TUN Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG), and the TUN Student Surgical Association (SOSA).
When Andrea is not in the office, she enjoys volunteering. She has previously volunteered for the Las Vegas Snowboard Resort Lids on Kids Program and at the Vegas Roots Community Garden. She also routinely lends her services to The Shade Tree and the Touro Mobile Medical Unit, providing essential health care services to members of Las Vegas’ homeless community.
In her free time, Andrea enjoys running, rock climbing, and spending time with her two beautiful, young children.
